Our company takes a proactive approach to recycling. The packaging that we receive as part of our incoming stock deliveries is almost entirely cardboard. This cardboard is collected from our stores and warehouse and taken to a facility at Lonsdale. Ninety-nine per cent of our cardboard packaging is recycled.

Our purchasing policy directs our buyers to choose products with the least amount of packaging and we actively encourage our suppliers to review their packaging practices on a regular basis.

All Ned’s stores make available to customers durable re-usable shopping bags that are themselves recyclable at the end of their useful life.

Where possible, our stores run on Green Power from Origin Energy.
